Each year RME runs a social media photo contest seeking submissions of farmers with their Case IH or New Holland equipment during
seeding season. Our first of two prize winners went to Martin Hirsbrunner, a hobby photographer, who captured the stunning image pictured below.
Martin resides in Matzendorf, Switzerland where his parents own a small 30 acre farm with a few dozen cattle. When this photo was
captured, Martin was visiting his friend, Ralf Heisterkamp on his farm in Airdrie, Alberta. A lover of agriculture, Martin says one of his favourite past times while visiting Canada is watching the ‘big machines’ found in our farmers’ fields. While he doesn’t have a farm of his own, he takes every opportunity to learn while visiting Ralf on his farm.
Upon learning that he had won, Martin asked his good friend Ralf to collect his prize of $1,000 in Case IH hand tools on his behalf at RME Balzac. With his eye for beauty, he plans on coming back to Canada in spring 2020 to take more photos of the landscapes and sights that only the Prairies can offer.
